6 Simple Home remedies to get rid of dandruf

Dandruff can be controlled by following a healthy hair care routine. You can also try some simple natural home remedies. It is true that natural remedies take time to show results but they can effectively treat the problem completely.
Here are some of the basic home remedies for dandruff.

        1. Indian Lilac
The antifungal and antibacterial properties of Indian lilac, also known as neem, help treat dandruff as well as many other hair problems like scalp acne, itchy scalp, and hair fall efficiently.
        1. Boil a handful of Neem leaves in four cups of water.
        2. Cool and strain the solution.
        3. Use this decoction as a hair rinse two or three times a week.

        2. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil helps eliminate dandruff due to its antifungal properties. It also moisturizes dry scalp and provides relief from itching.
        1. Take some coconut oil and mix half the amount of lemon juice in it.
        2. Rub it on your scalp and massage for a few minutes.
        3. Wash your hair after at least 20 minutes.
        4. Follow this remedy two to three times a week.

        3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Scalp treatment with apple cider vinegar is effective in getting rid of dandruff. It restores the pH balance of the scalp, thereby inhibiting the growth of yeast. It also works as a natural hair clarifier and helps clean clogged pores and hair follicles.
        1. Take two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
        2. Mix an equal amount of water and 15-20 drops of tea tree oil in it.
        3. Apply it onto your scalp and massage. Rinse your hair after a few minutes.
        4. Follow this natural treatment two or three times a week.

        4. Baking Soda
Being a mild exfoliant, baking soda helps remove dead skin cells and absorbs excess oil. It can also help balance pH levels on the scalp and reduce the growth of fungi that cause dandruff.
        1. Wet your hair and rub a handful of baking soda onto your scalp.
        2. After a couple of minutes, rinse your hair well with warm water.
        3. Repeat once or twice a week for a few weeks.
Note: Do not shampoo your hair after this treatment.

        5. White Vinegar
White vinegar is one of the best home treatments for dandruff. Vinegar has acetic acid that prevents growth of fungi on your scalp and relieves itching.
        • Add one-half cup of vinegar to two cups of water. Rinse your hair with this mixture after shampooing your hair.
        • Another option is massage your scalp with a mixture of two parts white vinegar, one part olive oil and three parts water. After 10 minutes, rinse it off and shampoo your hair using a mild shampoo.
Follow either of these remedies once or twice a week.

        6. Olive Oil
Scalp dryness can be cured with regular use of extra-virgin olive oil, an effective natural moisturizer.
        1. Heat some extra virgin olive oil until it is slightly warm.
        2. Massage it onto your scalp and then wrap your hair in a warm towel.
        3. Leave it on for at least 45 minutes or overnight and then shampoo and condition your hair.
Repeat this remedy a few times a week.

13 Reasons WHY VALENTINES DAY IS A BIG CURSE

        1. In the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, gold jewelry sales generate 34 million tons of mine waste.

        2. Red roses emit about 9,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide on this very special day.

        3. Oh yeah, and these mass quantities of red roses are shipped from South Africa, which wastes fossil fuel.

Roses are generally grown in warmer climates, so each year, we fly millions of roses across the ocean, using fossil fuel for refrigeration tanks (not to mention refrigerant gasses are also harmful to the environment).

        4. Studies sadly continue to suggest that Valentine’s Day is “nationally, the time with the highest rate of suicide.”

Diane Brice, the director of Suicide Prevention Service of the Central Coast, says the “expectation” to be in love, or feel better, often intensifies depressive thoughts.

        5. Other polls find many young adults admit to having negative and depressive feelings on Feb. 14.

Apparently, 1 in 10 adults feel lonely, insecure, depressed, or unwanted on Valentine’s Day, and 40% of our population generally associate the holiday with negative emotions.

        6. BREAKING: Valentine’s Day is a commercial holiday.

        Peanuts Worldwide / Via basedonnothing.net
Nothing new here: The only people benefiting from the manufactured holiday are greeting card companies who have placed a market value on love (and some buzz words that convey it).

        7. Let’s break these numbers down:

        Last year…
        • Americans sent 150 billion cards to help express themselves.
        • the average consumer shelled out about $131 toward the holiday (it’s the highest average in 11 years),
        • total spending was expected to reach $18.6 billion.
        • greeting cards were the most common gifts (making up 54.7%), followed by candy (51%), flowers (36.6%), and an evening out (36.2%).

        8. One origin of the holiday credits the ancient Roman festival “Lupercalia,” which celebrated spring by pairing off women with men by lottery.

        9. But wait. It gets darker: Tradition called for men to sacrifice a goat and a dog, then whip their women with the hides of the animals they had just slain.

The name of the hallmark holiday came from the execution of two men — both named St. Valentine — on Feb. 14, but years apart. Depicted above.

        10. Some holiday companies have lovey-dovey sentiments all figured out, apparently.

Before Valentine’s Day 2006, Hallmark employed an 80-person staff to analyze previous sales patterns against hundreds of thousands of customer reviews, focus groups, and general in-store observations to create thousands of new cards that conjure precise sentiments.

        11. A dozen long-stemmed red roses can be marked up to $75 around this time of year.

That’s roughly 30% higher than their usual price.

        12. According to the U.S. Trade Census, the total value of fresh-cut roses imported for this year’s V-Day is $354,703,231.

        The country is prepared.

        13. The inundation of commercials puts tremendous pressure on men to deliver.

        Precious gemstones

Precious stones are defined as visually appealing gemstones created from rocks or minerals. Gemstones have played various roles in the myths and legends of human cultures throughout history. There are only FOUR precious gemstones; DIAMONDS, RUBIES, EMERALDS, SAPPHIRES.
All precious stones are translucent and are valued by the richness of their color, except for the diamond, which has a higher value based on being colorless.

        Diamond
The diamond is the most popular of all gemstones. The diamond is the highest valued precious stone, which takes millions of years to form. A diamond is a mineral compound made of pure carbon and is the hardest natural substance on the planet. Diamonds are measured in carats—the higher the carat weight and purity level of a stone, the more valuable the gem. Diamonds are typically colorless, but yellow, brown, green, gray, black, pink, blue, red, and purple stones can also be found along the diamond color spectrum. Jewelry-grade diamonds are rated based on color from bluish-white to yellow, and on clarity. The world’s love of diamonds had its start in India. Few people outside the gem industry realize the true nature of a gemstone’s journey from the mine to the counter of a store.

        Ruby
The ruby is a pink to deep red precious gemstone. The name comes from the Latin word for red, ruber. In its purest form, the mineral corundum is colorless. Trace elements that become part of the mineral’s crystal structure cause variations in its color. The most renowned rubies, like those from Myanmar, the Himalayas, and northern Vietnam. Rubies found in marble typically fluoresce red under ultraviolet light—even the ultraviolet light in sunlight. Fluorescence can make a ruby’s color even more intense and increase its value. The largest mined ruby weighing in at four pounds, the Liberty Bell Ruby, was stolen in a heist in 2011. The ruby is the birthstone for July.

        Emerald
Known for its brilliant green color, emerald can also have blue or yellow undertones and loses all color when subjected to high heat. Their brittle exterior makes emeralds difficult to shape. Gem experts differ on the degree of green that makes one stone an emerald and another stone a less-expensive green beryl. Some people in the trade tend to give the name emerald to any green beryl colored by chromium. Today, most emerald production originates in four source countries: Colombia, Zambia, Brazil, and Zimbabwe. These countries reliably produce commercial amounts of emeralds. Emerald flaws are very often concealed by treating a stone with oil or synthetic lubricants. This is a common practice in the gemstone industry.

        Sapphire
Sapphires come in a variety of colors, but are mostly associated with blue hues. A sapphire of another color, like pink, white or yellow, is generally called a fancy sapphire. Sapphires have been prized as great gemstones since 800BC. Fine sapphires are most available under two carats, but they can also be found in sizes from five to ten carats. The color of a sapphire is created by various amounts of iron and titanium in the stone, the combination of which produce varying colors. Kings wore sapphires around their necks as a powerful defense from harm. The sapphire has, for centuries, been seen as a symbol of the heavens, a guardian of innocence. Sri Lanka is the world’s largest producer of sapphires over 100 carats and they are a lighter shade of blue
